Employment History
Growing up I always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I'd always offer to take care of other people’s pets, little did I know that my passion for dogs would become a full-fledged business. Instead of working for someone else I created my own dog walking service. I initiated my business in June of 2017. I have developed close relationships with multiple clients. Throughout the week I spend an average of 15 hours, feeding, and bathing the dogs. The skills I have learned from my business I will be able to take with me into a future career. I have learned how to manage my time, money, and clients. However, most importantly I have learned that I have an interest in business and it is something I would want to continue to pursue in the future.
Community Service
History
Throughout my high school career, I have strived to be involved in my community. I have been fortunate enough to hold a leadership position at my church since the 8th grade. I lead a Sunday school class for toddlers at my church and have served a total of 160 hours. I have learned many important lessons from the children such as the importance of providing guidance and maintaining a commitment to others. I have also branched out to opportunities to serve within my school. I am part of the National Beta Club and National Honors Society. Both of these organizations have provided me with countless different ways to serve within my community. A passion of mine is helping others. I've always felt compassion toward people who face any physical and mental limitations. I am also a part of the PIT Crew special needs class at my school. By the end of the year, I will have earned a total of 120 hours. The program has allowed me to create unbreakable relationships with students who need extra support. My love for them is so strong that I also joined the Best Buddies Club so that I could take part in more events with them. The people that I’ve served have also had a great impact on my life. Community service is something that I see myself continuing to do forever.
