Altar Server and Singer at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church
As an Altar Server and singer of the Children’s Choir and Mass Choir at St. Ignatius Loyola, I have dedicated 6 years to the faithful parish. Beginning my community service at a young age has allowed me to develop humility and grow alongside the loving community that resides at my church. I assisted the Deacon and Priest during the Spanish Mass and special holiday services throughout the week. Serving and performing has allowed me to impact the lives of others by deepening their relationship to God and the Catholic faith. Being part of a nonprofit organization has taught me that a small set of hands is just enough to help out an entire community.
Church Choir, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church August 2019- current
I began working my senior year of high school at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church as part of their Sunday Choir. Early throughout high school, I sang in the choir for special events and religious holidays and in August 2019 I was offered a job. Every Wednesday our choir has a 2-hour long rehearsal and I help assist in music and choir robe organizing. I am the Soprano section leader and I help the elder singers with new music. Every Sunday I sing for Sunday mass and performed frequently on weekdays for Advent. Being part of any choir throughout my life has made me a better leader and musician.
