To advocate for POC in my school community I partnered up with the Black Student Union at my school to advocate for mental health. I am a huge advocate for mental health awareness and took the opportunity to offer students at my school a reminder that they are seen and cared for. We made posters for each of the teachers doors and left boxes of candy. The candy and posters had positive affirmation cards attached to them. We also fought stickers for the students to keep. This was such a great opportunity for me to get involved with my school. I loved watching the students brighten up on their way in and out of their classrooms. :)
