Education History
I studied and worked in the Theatre at Pellissippi State Community college from 2013-2016. I was a declared Theatre Major, but due to a head injury never finished my degree because math was too difficult for me. I transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in January 2018 as a Speech Language Pathology major, but realised it wasn't for me. I currently am a dual major in Global Studies and Literature with a minor in German. I had to drop out of UNL due to it being too expensive, so now I am pursuing my Associate's at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, NE. I am hoping to return to UNL eventually, but need the aid in order to continue.
Additional Info
I live with a chronic illness that doctor's cannot diagnose. I have chronic pain and uterine/ovarian issues that have been present since I was 12 years old. I've had surgeries to try and find what's wrong, but we cannot find anything. I also have Bipolar Disorder. Living with these illnesses has taught me a lot about my own strength and resilience. It gets tough, but I'm passionate and a fighter.
While studying at Pellissippi State, I was the student representative for Education Abroad, as well as the student chair for the International Education Committee. I studied abroad in three different countries thanks to scholarships, and I became the student voice for the study abroad consortium.
I was the president of Campus Theatre, my school's theatre club. I was president from 2014 to 2016. I won the Outstanding Graduate Award for my work in the theatre two years in a row.
