Community Service
History
When I was back in Texas I volunteered to participate in kids day at the park; the church I was attending decided to do a face paint booth for free I had a lot of fun because I like to paint. I have also participated in the ringing of the bell for the salvation army and even though it was cold I knew I was doing it for a good cause. I have also helped out with an event that another school held for special needs students the event was hosted and run by FFA students, teachers, and alumni. It was a day that they could see and touch real farm animals, ride horses, do crafts, and learn different things about the agriculture life; this community service event was my favorite because I got to give a special needs kid a day they have never had before it made my whole week I was so excited.

My main organization that I was highly involved in and still am is the Future Farmers of America or better known as the FFA. This organization is known nation wide and is a very good organization that will tech you the life of agriculturists, team work, giving to the community, public speaking, and hard work. When you become a member of the FFA and are in high school you have the opportunity to earn awards such as the last award a student will earn in high school generally on the senior year is the Lone Star Degree. These awards get the students motivated by setting requirements to earn them like doing community service, working on class projects, showing a project or animal and spending but gaining a certain amount of money back to achieve and receive these awards; the higher the award the more you have to accomplish to receive it. The FFA teaches you a lot about life and how it would be if we didn't have our agriculturists in this world and also teach many other things; I believe it is a wonderful organization to be a part of and participate in.
